What's My Function??

Wow, it has been awhile, although I have thought of this "blog" many times I have not taken the time to write it out.


I remember riding on the back of the motorcycle one night and enjoying the beauties around me, an praying for "PROCTECTION" seems when I'm on the back of that bike I pray a lot more.

Anyway, I remember the word "If" coming to me in so many statements as I mediated while we were riding. I was reminded of so many times I had used the statements...Lord, IF I didn't have to work every day...Lord, IF I had a little more free TIME...Lord, IF I wasn't always on the run I could and would be in your Word more often..."IF" I can (or will) work it into my schedule. RIGHT!!! I have been blessed to retire from my job of 20 years and it seems as though I am always distracted with something else. Are you ever guilty or is it just me?? I am so, so guilty.

I was looking up the word "If" it states it is a conjunction, a long time ago there was a learning show the Electric Company I think...Describing conjunction words, Conjunction, junction, what’s your function. Well, I feel like that song, if I knew my function or except my function I may take care of those What if's.

What if He called me to do something and I waited and waited and did not follow through. He has called me to do something,

Why do I still forget my function? It appears he has given me “Us” the instruction we need. I desire your prayers that I can follow through on my “What If’s” I want to be a witness, a teacher, a listener, and all that I can be for Christ with no…If I only had time!!

"Today is the Day that the Lord Hath Made"


What a stressful couple of weeks. Preparing for the Women's Conference (which God was there and blessed), dealing with issues at home, and just worries of everyday life. Isn't that like life, you have a good weekend in the Lord, and sometimes you don't even leave His presence before the enemy is attacking.

"Into His Presence" Women's Conference



What and awesome weekend we had In His Presence!! From Friday night until Saturday afternoon, God met us there. Papa was there!!



He shall cover you with His feathers,
And under His wings you shall take refuge;
His truth shall be your shield and buckler.(Psalm 91:4, New King James Version)

One of my favorite scriptures. So many times as I struggle I'm reminded of this passage. All I need or want is Him to cover me with His feathers and just take refuge under His wings.

Mary, talked to us about Worship and the many ways to worship. How He wants us to worship Him, with all we have. One example she provided, was to imagine yourself in a ballroom with candles and a beautiful dance floor and here comes the Father in to the ballroom and sweeps you off your feet and you are dancing around with the Father. Just you and the Father WOW close your eyes and imagine. As one of the worship songs Cynthia Anderson led...O how marvelous! O how wonderful! And my song shall ever be: O how marvelous! O how wonderful! Is my Savior's love for me!

God worked 2 miracle healings, a knee and an ankle/foot. He was awesome. God also worked other miracles in another lady. I believe he worked more miracles than we actually know...I know there were ladies there who were touched in ways we cannot express in words.

Our "Young" ladies blessed us with music and drama. Friday and Saturday were just awesome days to remember.

On Saturday afternoon Mary also blessed us with her music and singing talents! Awesome a time of rest in Christ. Very peaceful, as we discovered that we can rest in His presence.

Mary was an awesome inspiration. So many notable comments about the conference. If you weren't there you missed out on a blessing.

I want to thank "ALL" who had a part in putting the conference together it couldn't have been done without all of us working together.

And she could.  Just as we are that is how God works!  We come to Him just as we are and He will work on the rest.  Leave it to God to fix not us! (That is Cathy McGuffey from the Northside Church of God, Bowling Green)

We Are Getting So Close to be "Into His Presence"


I pray your week went well and over cabin fever. The snow was nice for a bit, but now…I’m ready for spring.


Some have ask about the dress for our Women’s Conference at Castle Heights, there is no dress code we want you there as you are and how you feel comfortable. If you feel like I want to dress up then dress up, if you feel I want to be comfortable come comfortable. We want you to enjoy your weekend and relax and rest in the Heavenly Father remember the theme “Into His Presence” that is the only thing I want you to concentrate on, pray we all gather “Into His Presence” and sit at His feet, lay back against Him an breathe feel His heart beat, His love is so deep it’s more than I can stand, it’s overwhelming. Is: 55:6 talks about Seeking God while he may be found, Pray to Him while He is close at hand. I want to seek Him and get “Into His Presence”.



Lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall on Saturday between morning and afternoon session at a minimal cost. (i.e., chicken salad, tuna, pimento cheese, chips, drinks)



I will try to have the Program to you prior to the conference. I am so excited, I pray you are as well.



If any of you plan on staying in the area Friday night I have blocked rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, Bowling Green, under the group name “Into His Presence” (if making reservations via internet the group code is IHP). The room rate is $70 per night with 2 Beds per room and up to 4 to a room. I Came To Myself

I am so excited this morning. I've been up for a few hours, just mediating and enjoying the time with the Lord. I have so many thoughts for the conference going through my head it is SO HARD to keep them all straight. I hope you are praying with me for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.


Today's busy lifestyle seems to get in the way of our daily walk with the Lord...Did I say that?? Yes, it does!! I quit work in August after another setback with pancreatitis the pain is dreadful. However, I believe the last episode was to slow me down I worked for over 20 years and the last 16 years I had a very stressful job with a lot of traveling. My job seems to come first on everything. Sometimes before my family. I missed so much being away from home. As I lay in the hospital room I came to myself! Yes, I came to myself. I was still and could hear God speaking, Kathy it's time to rest it's time to find me. He becomes more and more real to me each day. Isn't amazing how you can be a Christian for years and years but really never KNOW HIM. I still struggle with my illness, but I am growing in God. To me that is what is important if I am following HIM how can I get lost? Praise God He slowed me down; I am now able to strive for what He wants me to be!--Kathy

 31-39So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn't hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn't gladly and freely do for us? I love the Message Bible version.  Nothing can seperate us from the love of God!!

Valentine Weekend!

What a fantastic weekend at Castle Heights!  It started off great with the men of the Church cooking a very nice steak dinner!  They cooked and served!   Awesome.  We were very impressed with there serving hearts!
